We feel like it’s time for that to change!It seemed like our favorite flavors were owned solely by the big chain coffee shops and the local java houses alike for too long. Here at the Flavor Nation, we never stop working to reclaim these classic beverage concoctions in your very own kitchen. All of your beloved coffee drinks at your fingertips anytime you want them. You know you can already taste it.

We felt like there was no better way to lead this charge than with our newest tantalizing recipe. Capturing the nutty, creamy sensations we all crave from our coffee drinks with the perfect icy chill was just what we needed to match the summer heat that’s already on the horizon.

In that spirit, we’re introducing our new Nutty Hazel Cold Brew! Did you hear that? That’s the sound of those big chain shops' jaws all hitting the floor—hazelnut and cold brew that you don’t have to wait in line for at all. You won’t have to pay an arm and a leg for it, either.

It’s got hazelnut, it’s got chocolate, it’s got caramel, it’s got cream, and it’s got cold brew. If your jaw isn’t hitting the floor, too, then you’re doing something wrong with your morning coffee game. All of the flavors you love to mix in your arsenal of morning cups are now in one place.

A Game-Changing Elixir

It was so evident to us that this game-changing elixir was the perfect way to welcome in the new seasons of warmth with a cold and refreshing summer coffee shop staple. For as long as we can remember, we’ve delighted in a fresh glass of our favorite morning pick-me-up flavored more often than not with that delectable, unforgettable hazelnut deliciousness. Sadly, we found ourselves having to track down the closest shop to snag one more often than not.

Thankfully, that’s now ancient history. The coffee shop is coming to you from here on out with this simple recipe that you are sure to return to time and time again throughout the summer months and beyond. Well, that is until you run out of supplies from making so many and have to frantically pick up some more!

How to Actually Make Cold Brew

Now, it’s easier than ever to fix one of these up. The trickiest part is just the beginning, as you have to prepare this drink through a longer cold brew rather than a hot brew. To start, you will want to combine your Crazy Cups Hazelnut Flavored Ground Coffee with room temperature or cold water. The measurements will depend on how much you want to end up with, but a good rule of thumb is 1 part coffee to 16 parts water. Once combined, steep for at least 12 hours or up to 24. Be patient! The longer you wait, the stronger it will be but try to avoid waiting longer than a day before straining it out.

When the cold brew is ready, filter out the grounds and store the resulting liquid. To begin crafting the drink, prepare a glass with a chocolate drizzle around the inside for a bit of flavor and a little design. Next, add your ice and some caramel creamer of your choice. Finally, stir in about 6 ounces of that delicious cold brew. Voila! You can stop here and enjoy it as is if you like something simple and delicious.As usual, for our more creative flavor connoisseurs, feel free to go a little wild with this one. If enjoying it as a dessert, consider pumping it with some extra hazelnut syrup for more of that liquid joy. You should also try topping it off with fresh whipped cream, some crushed hazelnuts, and additional chocolate syrup if desired. Nutty Hazel Cold Brew

Ingredients

  • 6 oz of cold brew coffee made with Hazelnut Flavored Ground Coffee
  • Caramel creamer
  • 1 oz hazelnut syrup for an extra flavor burst (optional)
  • Chocolate Syrup
  • Whipped Cream (optional)
  • Crushed Nuts (optional)

Directions

Combine the 6 oz of coffee made with Hazelnut Flavored Ground Coffee with water, then let it steep overnight or for around 12 hours. The longer it sits, the stronger the cold brew will be.

The next day, you will first drizzle the chocolate syrup around the inside of your glass.

Then, add ice and hazelnut creamer and pour your hazelnut cold brew over the top.

Stir until combined.

Finally, add your whipped cream and top with crushed hazelnuts for a chilly, nutty beverage.
