Some people think of vanilla as a basic flavor. Here at Crazy Cups, we consider vanilla one of our most versatile flavors. With 39 flavors of vanilla to choose from, how could you get bored?
Each coffee has some form of vanilla incorporated into the grounds. If you think about it, how often does a recipe call for vanilla extract? It's a staple in many cultures and dishes. You can always count on vanilla to spice up your life, somehow, someway, especially with French vanilla coffee.
Where Did the Vanilla Flavor Come From?
Vanilla originated in South and Central America. It comes from an orchid that is native to those countries. Vanilla can be traced all the way back to before the Aztecs conquered the Totoncas. It is believed that it was only used as a perfume until the early 1500s.
