Prep Time: 7 minutes | Difficulty: Easy

Calories: 100-130 calories, depending on the milk and sweetener options.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Crazy Cups Black Forest Chocolate Cherry Coffee Pod (regular or decaf)
  • 6 oz hot water
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or your preferred low-calorie milk alternative)
  • 1-2 drops vanilla extract
  • Sweetener of choice (optional: stevia, monk fruit, or a small drizzle of honey)

For the Low-Cal Whipped Cream

  • ½ cup cold non-dairy whipping cream ( we recommend using coconut cream or almond-based whipping cream)
  • 1 tsp powdered erythritol or another calorie-free sweetener
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Optional Garnish

  • A sprinkle of cocoa powder or freeze-dried or maraschino cherries

Instructions

  1. Brew the coffee: Use your Crazy Cups Black Forest Chocolate Cherry Pod to brew 6 oz of hot coffee.
  2. Warm the milk: In a small saucepan, heat the almond milk and mix in vanilla extract on low until warm (don’t let it boil).
  3. Froth the milk: Use a milk frother or whisk to create a light, foamy texture.
  4. Combine: Pour the brewed coffee into a mug, then slowly add the frothed milk. Stir gently.
  5. Prepare the whipped cream:
    • Chill a mixing bowl and whisk in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
    • Add the non-dairy whipping cream to the chilled bowl. Using an electric mixer, whisk on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
    • Add powdered erythritol and vanilla extract, then continue to whisk until stiff peaks form.
  6. Top and serve: Spoon the whipped cream over the latte and garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or crushed freeze-dried cherries.
  7. Enjoy: Sip and savor the chocolate-cherry goodness with a fluffy whipped cream finish!
